Grant Guidelines
The Mike & Mary Terry Family Foundation grant application process is by invitation only. However, the Foundation does accept one-page Letters of Inquiry (LOI) in two cycles towards our Catholic Education, Education, Homeless, and Victims of Abuse focus areas.
Deadline #1: May 1
Deadline #2: November 1
Upon the conclusion of the deadlines listed above, the Foundation will provide confirmation that your Letter of Inquiry has been received. After all inquiries have been reviewed, we will invite selected organizations to complete the full application process.
Letters of Inquiry are designed to be a general introduction to an organization and/or an update on a specific program. The Foundation will conduct comprehensive due diligence, if your organization is invited to complete a full grant application.
Prior to submitting a Letter of Inquiry, please review our Grant Guidelines for further detail regarding the submission process and frequently asked questions.

“While the spirit of the Foundation remains consistent, our philanthropy — the process in which innovation occurs, new programs are born, and solutions to systemic problems are found — always evolves. Effective philanthropy is learning and adapting to the needs of our city. It is filling gaps and creating access. It is learning how to be a better neighbor.”
